On June 16, 2006
the Vermont arts Council held its 2006 Annual Meeting
and Award Ceremony in the State House Chamber in Montpelier.
The event included the presentation of the 2006 Walter
Cerf Lifetime Achievement Award to renown painter
Lucien Day.

Opening was Nov 30 - Dec 30, 2010
Over 70 artists participated. The show celebrated
the period beginning in 1968, when Lucien Day first
opened Green Mountain Gallery, to the present.
Last year was the 30th anniversary of Blue Mountain
Gallery - the artists cooperative that was formed
after The Green Mountain
Gallery closed, including Lucien Day and many of his
artists.

Lucien Day is
one of the key founders of the Soho art movement and
originator of the Green Mountain Gallery now the Blue
Mountain Gallery. Lucien Day's art has been exhibited

Day painted and photographed many New
York City buildings many of them while the buildings
were under construction, his paintings capture a time
in history. Lucien Day has painted landscapes and
portraits. Here is an excerpt on perspective from
