MARGOT DAY/The Bank/April 1
New York, NY
In an age where the definition of gothvs.gothicvs.vampyrevs.all other things dark seems an unbeatable battle (and a rather silly one, if you ask me,) singer/songwriter/flutist Margot Day revisited her old stomping grounds here in NYC. Once a member of The Plague back in the day when NYCs entire dark-clad population could fit into a school bus, Margot Day now finds herself a talented musician with a desire to transcend the stigmas of todays dark side. This past April, with the assistance of Kurtis Knight on keyboards and programming, Margot managed to transform her segment of an otherwise yet-another-Thursday-night-at-The Bank into an evening of spiritual reconnaissance, where the beauty of pagan traditions embraced the terror of future technology ...Missed it, eh?... You'll find Margot Day on tour with this year's Gothic Lilith Festival.
